Now celebrating it's 41st Anniversary, the Hamler Summerfest is known as the "Grandaddy of em all".  Always held the last full weekend in July, Hamler is known to bring in some of the finest polka bands around and puts together a great festival with delicious authentic German food, a large wooden dance floor (80' x 80') all under the cover of a large pavilion (25,000 Sq. Ft.) that keeps everybody dry regardless of the weather outside!

In 1990, Frankenmuth, "Michigan's Little Bavaria," celebrated its first Oktoberfest.  The Frankenmuth Oktoberfest celebrates German culture, heritage and love.  Our goal is to incorporate as many of the sights, sounds, taste and traditions of the original Munich Oktoberfest as possible.  We strive to retain as much of our Bavarian heritage as possible and proudly demonstrate this during the Frankenmuth Oktoberfest.  Frankenmuth is the first Oktoberfest outside of Munich to be sanctioned by the Parliament and the City of Munich.

Back in November of 2008, Squeezebox had the opportunity to perform for a fundraiser for a sweet little girl named Corin LeSage.  We were simply touched by her huge heart and warm hugs that we were fortunate to receive from her while we performed at her benefit.  It was amazing to see a little girl that had been through so much carry such a big smile and dance all night!

Corin LeSage was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumor on Nov. 3 '06. She had 6 cycles of high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant. Corin was cancer free from June'07 to June'08. In June'08, Corin's MRI revealed 2 tumors and some in her spine. She went through radiation and went through 3F8 at MSKCC in NY, NY and finished treatments there right before Christmas.  She went back out last month for scans and the little princess is once again clean.  However, she is on low dose chemo to keep the cancer away. They will go back to NY for scans in April.  Right now she is having some major problems at school due to the brain tumors and the radiation and chemo she has received.  She has a hard time learning and retaining the information.
